FAQs/Q & A

We have been asked, over the years, the following questions and wanted to include them here.

As a result of these considerations, the Planning Committee through group conscience process we concluded and established the following constraints noting our reasoning for each decision:

What are some of the amenities?
First Class Facilities, Stunning Grounds Swimming Pool (seasonal), and Hot Tub (year-round),
Internet, Recreation Areas, Coffee Shop and Gift Shop
Are recreational drugs or alcohol allowed?
One reason we chose a Young Life camp location for our weekend, was to have a drug and alcohol free
location in support of our programs.
Are RV's or campers allowed?
We are situated on the side of a mountain with limited vehicle parking. We will always find parking for registrants’ cars but have no room or hook-ups for larger vehicles.
Are children or babies allowed?
Many of our women use the weekend as a respite from parenting. We honor the expectation of a quiet weekend of self-care by asking you to leave children behind.
Can I bring my spouse?
Our conference focuses on the issues facing women. Many attendees use this weekend as a break from family responsibilities and an opportunity to focus on themselves.
We recognize that the language around gender continues to evolve, and that not everyone has the same ideas about what the terms mean. We apologize for any stumbles we may make and hope that love and tolerance will remain the code for everyone.
Can I stay off-site or is there a day registration?
We secure the entire facility for our conference. Pricing, established with the Young Life association who owns and manages the facility, is all-inclusive to cover lodging, meals, speakers, and other conference expenses. We do not set pricing for each individual element or day of the conference.
Can I bring my pet?
Some of our breakout meeting rooms are small with women sitting shoulder to shoulder. We recognize that some women have a fear of animals and others have allergies. We ask that you leave your pets at home.
Consideration will be given to registered service animals on a case by case basis.
Can I request a certain room, chalet or condo?
Once you’ve registered, you’ll receive a confirmation email letting you know your spot at the conference—and your lodging—is secured. While this means you have a room reserved,
a specific room or chalet has not yet been assigned.
Although we can’t guarantee a particular chalet or room, you will be placed in the accommodation type you selected during registration. Because this is a conference (not a traditional hotel stay), room assignments work a little differently. With lodging for approximately 175 women, our registration committee works very hard to place groups together whenever possible and truly appreciates your flexibility.
Room assignments are finalized once all roommates are registered.
You’ll receive your specific room assignment at check-in on the first day of the conference.
Can I register all my roommates together at the same time?
At this time, the website doesn’t support registering multiple people in a single transaction. To help ensure your group is placed together, please choose one of the following options:
• All members of your group register on the same day, OR
• One person registers on behalf of the entire group.
In either case, please be sure to provide the full names, addresses, phone numbers, and fellowship program for all roommates during the registration process.
What are some of the things I can do between meetings?
Some of the women go and mediate, yoga, hike, sit by the fire in the Great Room and rekindle/make new friendships from all over are the goals.
What are some of the accessibilities?
We welcome guests of all abilities at Trail West, all of our main buildings are accessible to strollers or wheelchairs, and we have a handful of rooms that are designed to be accessible (special housing needs may be requested during booking).
